Peacock Butterfly Cards

Peacock butterflies have distinct eyespots on their wings and research suggests these are a defense mechanism against predators. While the wings are closed, the butterfly looks like a leaf. When approached, the sudden reveal of the eyespots when the wings open is a threatening display to potential predators.
